The annual Kailua Kona Community Christmas Parade is coming up on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 5 p.m. to 7 pm.

The parade starts at the Kekuaokalani Gymnasium parking lot near the Kona Community Aquatic Center and winds its way down Kuikini Highway to Palani and down Alii Drive through Kailua Village.

The theme for 2024 is “Magical Storybook Christmas.”

Floats, community groups and commercial entries are encouraged to sign up now at www.ParadesInKona.com.

There is a fee for commercial entries, but the parade is free for nonprofit organizations, schools and community groups.

Everyone is encouraged to bring canned food/nonperishable food items to the parade for the Hawaii Island Food Basket to collect.

The Food Basket volunteers will be walking the parade route collecting food donations from the parade-goers, so just come and bring your food donations with you.
